It’s that time again…!
Field Band Season is almost here! Enjoy your end of the year and fourth of July!
We’ll be starting up rehearsals Tuesday, July 7. Rehearsals will be Tuesdays and Thursdays in July, with a Mini-camp July 14/15/16.
FOR BRASS AND WOODWINDS…
•TUESDAY rehearsals will be mostly MUSIC focused, and music staff will be on hand to work on mostly musical elements of the show and warm ups.
•THURSDAY rehearsals will focus mostly on VISUAL and MARCHING elements. Jeff will be on hand most of those days, along with Brian, Jess, Will and others to develop marching fundamentals.
PERCUSSION and GUARD will carry on with their own schedule during those rehearsals.
Both days will have music and marching but will have a specific focus to make the most of the staff on hand.
EVERYONE HAS THE FIRST WEEK OF AUGUST OFF! Please try to schedule vacations accordingly, if possible.
BAND CAMP IN AUGUST IS CRITICAL – ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY!!! This is when we will be learning drill and we NEED to have EVERYONE there as much as possible!!!
As always… if there are summer conflicts for any of the dates on the calendar, please let me know. We can always work something out.
Middle School Members:
v You may stay through to evening rehearsals at the HS Band Room. Bring a dinner or we can either pitch in for dinner/I can cook. PARENTS: Students WILL be supervised.

We’re establishing a Tutoring program to help you with homework, so you won’t have to do it at home afterwards.
v
Make sure you bring what you need from the MS when you come over. We can’t get through afterschool

Don’t be worried… we’re here to help you out! We want you to join! Ask questions!

Uniform fitting will take place in the next couple of weeks. You’ll also need black socks and shoes. Let us know if you need help with this.
